What factors affect the insurance premiums I pay?

  • Claims activity including such costs as medical care, auto body repair, construction costs, legal defense, jury awards, claims adjustment, & insurance fraud.
  • The level of risk being insured.
  • Investment trends that affect insurance profitability.
  • Location, age, insurance score, coverage options, driving history.

Student & Recent Gradutate

I'm a college student. Am I still covered by my parents' policies?

It depends on the policy and its terms. But for the most part, health insurance policies cover children to age 25.

What kinds of risks do college students face?

College students face many new risks as they head off to school: theft of personal property, auto accidents due to driving long distances, & risks related to attending and giving parties.
